Making cookies recipes it’s a wonderful occasion for a funny activity with the kids, if you let them help in preparations under your supervising.

Cinnamon cookies as a duck.


Ingredients for cinnamon cookies:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2-3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup butter, room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
Ingredients for the glaze:
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten
- 40-45 raisins
- 40-45 pumpkin seeds
In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.
In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, mix at high speed the butter with the sugar until creamed. Add in the egg, than the dry ingredients and mix until the dough has formed.

Wrap the dough and place it in the refrigerator at least 1 hour or longer.

Cut the dough into slices and form a cord. Let the kids model the cord into a duck and decorate it with raisin eyes and a pumpkin seed mouth.

Place the cookies on prepared cookie pans and prepare the glaze:
- mix together the sugar and cinnamon, brush the cookies with the beaten egg white and sprinkle with the sugar mix.

Bake 4-5 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. Let them cool 2-3 minutes in the pan and transfer to a rack to cool completely.
You can keep them for two weeks.
