Oatmeal cookies are perfect for a healthy and delicious breakfast. Everyone will adore them especially if there are with bananas that add extra flavor to the cookies.

Ingredients for banana oatmeal cookies:
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter,at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup oatmeal (not quick-cooking)
- 2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 bananas, mashed
In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.

In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, mix at high speed the butter with the sugar until creamed. Add in the egg and vanilla and mix until blended. At low speed, add in the flour mixture and mix until the dough has formed well.

Add in the egg and vanilla and mix until blended. At low speed, add the flour mixture and mix until well incorporated. Finally blend in the bananas and oatmeal.

Drop full tablespoons of dough on prepared cookie pans.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
Cool the banana oatmeal cookies on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, than transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
